The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a self-assessment tool used to indicate a person’s personality type. These preferences affect how a person perceives the world and make decisions. There are 16 possible results and these are the combinations of 4 types: Extraversion Vs. Intraversion; Sensing Vs. Intuition; Thinking Vs. Feeling; Judging Vs. Perceiving.
Fun fact about me is that I love personality tests. I love learning about myself and understanding how I could relate to other people. I reacted to my results below! 🙂
I agree! I believe that there is good in every person. I live by the mantra, “Always see the good in people”. There have been many instances in my life where I’d rather understand people who have wronged me instead of getting back at them by revenge.
I would normally be quiet in most situations, especially if i’m surrounded by crowd or people I am not comfortable with and I think that’s one of the reasons why i’m perceived as shy or boring. In cases when i’m being reprimanded, I tend to just not give any reaction and be misunderstood when in reality, I just do not want to fuel the anger of another person.
I have many that I consider as friends but I keep a few that I truly trust and no matter how far we are from each other, they know that they have a friend in me. These are the people who know me so well and holds a lot of my secrets.
Other people’s feelings always comes first for me and I also have this weird skill that I can read people’s motives and most of the time I am correct. It is bizarre but it is what is. Social interactions drain me and I would rather stay at home or hang out with a few friends than go out partying and connecting to a bunch of people. Basically, I am a grandma. Lol.
This is true. I loathe stress but who doesn’t right?! I am constantly on the hunt for a career that would give me the kind of stress that I will gladly do because I love what I am doing rather than stress on things because I needed to finish a mandatory work.
The problem with me is I take everything personally. When I receive an escalation email, my mind would instantly think that the person is mad at me which is not the case. It’s just work, self!Â
If I have a word that a certain task is not worth doing, you better bet I will never do it. This is because I want everything I do to mean something. I am also having a hard time responding to superiority at work. I’ll rather have a boss that feels like a friend than a boss that thinks so highly of himself.Â
This made me laugh because yes! This is a hundred percent me! Every once in a while I think about what my life would be and I still believe I am quite lost and do not know where my life is heading or what I want to do in my life. I am always conflicted and my heart is usually whirring at a fleeting page.
I know I am hard to understand and most, if not all Mediator types are this is because we are usually guarded which makes getting to know us quite difficult. We feel everything so deeply. Mediators are the quiet ones who laughs a lot but deep down they’ve got a lot going on. What I love most about Mediators is that we just want the world to be okay and for everyone to get along and be happy.
Taking this assessment is so much fun! It’s understanding where you are right now and how you can expand this. It’s knowing how other’s preferences can relate to one other.
