Prom Queen Perfect by Clarisse David (1)

Synopsis Ribbon
“When the annoyingly gorgeous Adam Cordero calls her selfish, she decides to prove him wrong by transforming Christy Marquez from an invisible misfit into a ruling princess of Asia Pacific Academy. Great hair? Check. Flawless red lipstick? Check. Instant popularity? A slightly too big check. But now, Alex is on the brink of losing the plastic tiara she’s supposed to get as prom queen, her best friend, and her heart to the unlikeliest of candidates. Too bad she isn’t letting anything—or anyone—get between her and that tiara.”

My Thoughts Ribbon

Prom Queen Perfect is a story about transformation, forgiveness, love and everything that concerns high school’s highlight events. Outcast among the batch? Check! Annoying student leaders? Check! Best friend you thought would never betray you? Check! Prom? One big, bold check!

This is a short-story one compared to the usual 300 pages YA books so i’d leave the summary out. The synopsis just did it for you. Going back, the book is fast-paced but it did not hinder its readers to completely take a look on Alex and Adam’s story. I like how the flow of story got me hooked because of the proper shifting of scenes, the existence of different moods/emotions, the depiction of how and what high school drama really is and I specially love Clarisse’s writing style. For me, it is flawless. She was so good at it that I wanted more from her. (This is me begging you to write more books! But no pressure. Hehe 😜)

I would also like to point out how this story gives out a moral lesson. I’d wish for this to be read by every girls and boys out there. Specially those who are still in high school level. ☺️
