Podcast To Listen To

In this post, I will be sharing to you the different podcasts that i have been enjoying. Some are slowly helping me change my life for the better and some are for pure entertainment to help me kill time (You know, the never-ending traffic of my commute life).

Currently, I have been finding myself constantly listening to podcasts. I think it is very helpful and is very accessible for an on-the-go person like me. I just have to plug in my earphones and that’s it. It also helps my imagination since you aren’t actually seeing what the hosts are saying so you just depend on their descriptions.

“It’s super important to first establish the types of goals we truly want to manifest into our lives because it isn’t just about the goals, it’s about the problems that come with goals because problems are something that we all have…… you just have to find goals that bring you the kind of problems that you  want to solve.” – Episode 5, How to Kick Ass and Achieve Your Goals

Kalyn’s Coffee Talk is an upbeat (multiple coffees not included) and uplifting podcast to start your morning, or wind down your afternoon with – covering everything from wellness, mental health and learning to live your best life free from self-judgment and doubt. Kalyn’s Coffee Talk, hosted by Kalyn Nicholson.

I love how when I am listening to this podcast, it feels like I am sitting out to a coffee with a mentor and she’s pouring life lessons into me. I have always wanted to have a mentor and through Kalyn’s podcast, it kind of came true for me.

“You don’t have to have it all figured out, just keep exploring, don’t settle and you will find your way. Life is not meant to be lived in a straight, linear path. There’s no step-by-step way to get there. You just have to go through all these different experiences before ending up where you really need to be.” – LL 003, You don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out.

“That’s the one thing that triggers me. Like, why do I have to say thanks to everything? I’m the one giving you the information. I’m the one saying Hey guys here’s the stuff you need to finish your work…. It’s fine, it’s for decency naman and I will still continue doing that.” – Jim, Episode 3: Corporate Jargon

Wake Up With Jim & Saab the new parents  know how tough it is to find time for each other now that they’re working extra hard to pay the bills and to keep their baby boy Pancho happy & healthy. They’ve created this podcast to make sure they still make time for each other (in between actual dates, of course). They want to share stuff they learn with other new parents who don’t know what the heck they’re doing either. Most of the time they go way off track to discuss music, movies, and other stuff they love/hate.

I have been following Saab and her blog for a very long time now that I was so hyped when I learned that she’ll be having her own podcast with her husband. It is very interesting to listen to them tell their story about their daily lives in the Philippines and all that shenanigans that goes with it. Closed counters? Company jargons? Pandesal man in the morning? They have it all covered. The small annoying things that they point out are very relatable. They find humor in those things and just learn to live with it.

All these podcasts are reeking of new learning. I’m sure you’ll always have a key take-away with every episode. It is a fun and easy way to learn! These podcasts are also a great conversation starters! So if you want to check them out, you’ll find them all on Apple Podcast and Spotify. Happy listening! 🙂
